“Settled” Screened at Gideon Film Festival

gideon-festival-2013NoVA Christian Film’s Settled was screened at the Gideon Film Festival in Orlando, Florida today. The short film was nominated for Best Film, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, and Best Production Design, but unfortunately did not win in any of the categories.

Several members of NoVA Christian Film were in attendance, including founder Michael Tolosa, George Escobar and Meagan Motley of Advent Film Group, Sandra Hope, and actor Josh Murray.

“Settled” Wins Silver at Crown Awards

icvm-conference-2013NoVA Christian Film’s Settled won the Silver Crown Award for Best Short Film at the annual iCVM Crown Awards held this year in St. Louis, Missouri.

iCVM (International Christian Visual Media) is a community of Christians involved in bringing the message of Jesus Christ to the world through the use of visual media. They have been holding the Crown Awards as part of their annual conference since 1973.

“The Senior Prank” Screens in Fairfax

senior-prank-screeningOn June 13, The Senior Prank was screened at the Rave theater at Fairfax Corner. This feature-length, faith-based film was produced by Stone Table Films in association with The King’s Chapel in Fairfax, Virginia. It was directed by Donald Leow, written by Katherine and Chris Craddock, and stars Stacey Bradshaw and Josh Murray — all members of NoVA Christian Film.

The Senior Prank is an anti-bullying feature film about a group of popular high school students who elect a girl with Down Syndrome to be their Homecoming Queen — as a senior prank.

The screening was sponsored by Word of Life Christian Academy in Springfield, Virginia and featured several guests and speakers from the school.
